Exactly. So basically two seaman graduate both from same school at the same year. One goes to cargo ship fleet and other one goes pax fleet then first one doesn’t have to pay tax (if under EU flag) and second one has to pay. I would say it is a discrimination.
Let’s say Tallink people have payed taxes all they life. It has been kind of “real” job. Social taxes payed, Haigekassa, retirement etc but then you have other people who work for some foreign pax fleet under normal practice (via some crewing agency). Then you just pay your 20% income tax and you don’t get anything.
I would say it’s incompetent way of making legislation.
