 For a project in UAE for one of our Dutch clients we are looking for a 2nd Engineer (minimum required: STCW code III/1) on board a crew tender.   The terms are 6 weeks on/off and start is first or 2nd week of February. It takes 4 weeks to get the visa.
Being only with 2 or 3 people on board hands on is required.  Therefore the perfect candidate is allround and willing to cook on board, clean and assist where required.  An intensive training will be part of the hiring process.  Part of that training is getting a medical.  (you need to proof also you don’t have hepatitis C) Part of the recruitment process is a Skype meeting with the client.
 
Trade:   UAE.
Rest:    24 hours shift, sleeping will happen on an accommodation barge
            12 hours shift, sleeping will happen on board
Salary: 180 € per day on board

 The client needs a Russian-speaking officer on board as an interpreter, but also assists in the bridge position as 2nd mate. The candidate will be added as extra crew member.

 The ideal candidate is someone with a minimum of 3 years experience, prefer on Rockdumping Vessel(s) of other heavy Dredging vessel(s). Who has the basic DP-licenses (maybe Advanced or Full) and wants to learn (training-on-the-job, as 2nd mate/junior DPO, making DP hours)
 And who is enthusiastic enough to take on a variety of tasks.

 What the candidate needs:
 - SCHENGEN VISA (to come on board at Eemshaven or Gdanks)
 - BOSIET & Huet
 - Good English and Russian

 Probably at week 4 on board - for at least 5-6 weeks. If well like the candidate can then recur during the project (takes about 5 months).
