OFFSHORE MECHANICAL ENGINEER FOR SEMI SUBS

Position: Mechanical engineer
Vessel: PSV, DSV, Semi Subs
Rotation: 28 days ON/OFF
Experience: With Pipelines not less than 3 years clear experience 
Project: Based in UK
Salary indication: 60.000 GBP p/y + Company Benefits
Nationality: Preferable EU or Northern Europe
Permanent position, office and site visits
 
This is a newly created position within a well-known gas pipeline owner operator.  As the first person taking up the role you will have a unique opportunity to define business processes and make suggestions based on your own experience.
 
The role focuses on the continuous operation, integrity, modification and efficiency of existing assets, in this case related to a subsea pipeline.  The Mechanical Engineer with be responsible for a range of concurrent and competing responsib  :shout: :shout:ilities.
 
These will include:
 
- Observing and adhering to standards set by relevant bodies/institutions such as Pressure Equipment Directive (PED)
- Develop and review written schemes of examination for equipment such as heat exchangers, vessels, pipe work and PSVs
- Define and implement systems for assuring the integrity of pipelines and pressure systems
- Defining sub contract service requirements, managing tenders and suppliers
- Supervise installations and NDT
 
For this role we are seeking an enthusiastic Engineer keen to develop their career and learn new skills.  Applicants should have prior experience within the Oil & Gas industry including having worked with pipelines or associated plant.
 
Desirable skills/experience include:
 
- Strong design capability within the Oil & Gas industry
- Design of piping and pipeline systems
- Prior experience managing Oil & Gas assets
- In depth materials knowledge particularly with reference to corrosion
- Site supervision and installation
