For the future project in Mexico, which will start operations in March already we are looking for Senior Drilling Engineer.
We are looking for the exploratory drilling crew for one year, it will be done in 3 phases of which we are now in phase 1; Planning (Phase 2 is Operation and Phase 3 is Closing the project).
Duties and responsibilities:
• Responsible for all well engineering related matters throughout the well planning and construction.
• Coordination and preparation of the Drilling Program, cost estimates and AFE.
• Evaluate offset well data and build correlation packages.
• Monitor daily drilling operations by actively participation on the operation team.
• Interact daily with service companies to ensure safe and efficient well construction as planned.
• Produce/review bridging documents.
• Keep drilling management advised on progress of drilling activities.
• Coordinate all necessary permitting requirements.
• Prepare work scope and evaluate technical and commercial selection of service providers and equipment.
• Enforce operational, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
• Review and provide feedback on vendor invoices.
• Ensure that all well documentation is organized during and at the end of drilling operations.
• Reports to Drilling Manager
Required qualifications, experience and competencies:
• Minimum a B.S. degree in Engineering. Preference given if Petroleum engineer.
• 15 years of experience in drilling engineering with minimum 10 years’ experience in deep water.
• Availability to go to rig side as required.
• Full knowledge of the Landmark drilling package
• Familiar with moored and DP units.
• Experience in projects with carbonates as targets.
• Experience with MPD (Management pressure Drilling) - Constant Bottom Hole pressure or Pressured Mud Cap Drilling with RCD below tension ring.
• Experience in designing well architecture for Mexico and Gulf of Mexico (GOM) area.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.
• BOSIET and IWCF level 4 certification.
Important to keep in mind and profiles without the following are not accepted:- Deepwater experience
- Language English AND Spanish speaking
- IWCF Level 4 (
