The position
Do you like to work with state-of-the-art equipment? Then read about what Van Oord can offer you. The Fleet Department is looking for a Second Engineer.
As a Second Engineer, you will be responsible for the watch, for supervising one or more employees and you will accompany interns and trainees.
Your challenges
-Operating, maintaining and repairing the technical systems on board. You will be working on one of our modern vessels: a trailing suction hopper dredger, a cutter suction dredger, a fall pipe vessel or stone dumping vessel.
-Working worldwide in a two, four or six weeks schedule (weeks on duty outside Europe alternating with weeks of leave).
We ask for
-A secondary vocational or higher professional degree.
-A valid navigation licence bearing the qualification “Second Engineer all Ships” (STCW 95).
-Good command of the English language.
