The largest in the world liquefied natural gas (LNG) powered platform supply vessel (PSV), MV Rem Eir, has been delivered to its owner Remoy Shipping.
The vessel was constructed at Kleven Verft shipyard in Norway as build number 356 and W?rtsil? Ship Design VS4412 DF PSV design. Remoy took delivery of Rem Eir yesterday. The world's largest PSV powered with LNG has been chartered to Statoil, a Norwegian operator, according to a long-term agreement. Rem Eir will operate on the Norwegian continental shelf as the fourth Keven-delivered PSV chartered to Statoil.
Rem Eir (IMO number 9668647 and MMSI 257766000) has a length of 92.5 meters. The deck capacity of the vessel is 1,080 m2 and the deadweight - 5,200 DWT.
