Our Client, a leading international engineering and construction company, is recruiting for contract high quality and productive Special Class Welders to join their Australian LNG project team. Special Class / Coded Welders who can assemble, weld and repair pressure vessels and pipes to defined standards; and have work pass an x-Ray test under the supervision of the Welding Supervisor.
To be considered for this project you will need:
A recognised trade apprenticeship or a City and Guilds, NVQ or Certificate at level 3 or above in Welding or Fabrication.
5 years+ post apprenticeship experience in special class welding gained in LNG, Oil and Gas, Shut Downs, Heavy Industry, Chemical Plant, Large Construction Projects, High Specification Projects
Experience working in a site / plant environment.
Strong background in TIG and Stick Welding (GTAW, SMAW)
Experience of carrying out welding to X-Ray test standard
Experience of working with large diameter pipes
To have been welding to ASME 9 / ASME IX / AWS D1.1 / ASME B31.1 standards
To be able to meet the immigration requirements of an Australian Visa including skills assessment, criminal checks, medical and referencing.
Experience on working at heights and / or confined spaces is desirable
In return our Client is offering:
Proposed initial 3 – 6 month contracts but could be extended due to high quality and productivity of work
Room for swift in-field promotion for those with supervisory experience
Take home approx. ?5k / €5.5k per month based on 56 hour working week (Gross ?7.5k / €8.5k per month PAYG)
Extra overtime available as project requires
8 weeks on / 2 weeks off rotation
Free flights to and from the UK / Ireland (point of hire) between each rotation
Free accommodation and meals in Project Village
Trade Test, Medical, Visa Application and PPE equipment all funded by Engineering Company
