1x Driller

Vessel : Cyber Rig
Joining: 4 week's notice
Location: North Sea
Duration: negotiable  (project 5 year's).
Wages: attractive day rate netto depending on experience

Job description:

Reports to: (Senior) Toolpusher
 
1.1       Health, Safety and Environment:
 Ensures that personnel demonstrate their commitment to safety by adhering to all safety related policies, procedures, programmes and written instructions.
 Demonstrate personal commitment to company and Client Safety Management systems.
 Risk assessments and TBT’s are utilized for all operations.
 Safety objectives set by company and Client are met.
 Personnel are managed strictly in accordance with company policies and procedures.
 Ensure company personnel and subcontractors are aware of and use the Permit to Work.
 Participate actively in Safety Meetings, contribute with relevant points.
 Ensure housekeeping is maintained at company standard.
 Maintains well control.
 Always strives to further safety improvements. Carries out job audits in order to check the performance against the policies and procedures.
 Fully respects the environment and thinks in terms of sustainability.
 Manages and controls all drilling related discharges to the sea.
 Ensure company personnel and subcontractors are aware and use the Permit to Work System in place on the unit.
 Assist with follow up action plan or outstanding audit points to completion.
 Carries out assigned duties as per station bill and emergency response.
 
 1.2       Operations:
 Operations are planned, organized, supervised and executed in accordance with well programmes, Client requirements, contractual obligations and company Policies and Procedures.
 Plan operations and minimize downtime and maximum efficiency of operations.
 Accepts responsibility for safe, efficient and professional drilling and / or work-over of the well according to the drilling, mud and / or work-over programme using recognized standards and company Policies and Procedures.
 Adheres to and follows the written instructions.
 Only carries out work changes after obtaining approval from the Toolpusher.
 Report any changes to, or deviations from the drilling programme to the Toolpusher/ OIM and the Operator’s Representative. (i.e.hole conditions, mud loss, torque, etc.)
 Accepts responsibility for accurate measurements of all tools, tubulars, etc., that are run in the well.
 Inspects rig equipment before it is used or run in the hole and carry out appropriate maintenance.
 Review and plan for future operations in regards to equipment and other department’s assistance with consideration given to the planned maintenance system.
 Ensure adequate on site supervision for all tasks and operations.
 Communicates with Client’s representative tactfully.  Reports any area of concern by Client’s representative to the Toolpusher and or OIM.
 Assists other departments if required. (marine, deck, technical).
 Conducts tool box talks and verifies that Risk Assessments are carried out and utilized.  Make sure instructions are clear and understood by all crew members when duties are assigned.
Ensure service personnel perform operations safely, efficiently and according to procedures.
 Always strives to further operational improvements.
 Leads his crews with respect and positivism.
 Ensure service personnel perform operations safely, efficiently and according to procedures.
 Is able to relieve the Toolpusher.
 
 1.3       Personnel and Training:
 Conducts BOP, pit, drills with crew members until they are familiar with the procedure at regular intervals as per Company / Client procedures.
 Accepts responsibility for the development of own personnel and ensures that all safety and training programmes are adhered to.
 Fulfill role as mentor / coach for Trainees and newly promoted staff as requested and monitor progress. Orientate new personnel.  Report findings to Toolpusher.
 Carry out annual appraisals. Ensure that appraisals reflect subordinates current abilities and identifies additional training.
 Safety objectives set by Company and Client, are known by personnel under your area of responsibility.
 Demonstrate Personal commitment to Company Safety Management system.
 Be aware and pass on information in regard to procedures, instructions to crewmembers.  Ensure they are understood.
 Training to be in accordance with the Company training Matrix.
 
1.4       Maintenance and Equipment:
 Ensure the preventative maintenance system is being carried out and recorded as per equipment maintenance procedures
 Confirm that all equipment furnished by the Company or others is fit for purpose.
 Maintain all drilling equipment in fit for purpose status and report all defects
 Ensure visual appearance of the rig and equipment is maintained at Company standard (e.g. painting).
 
 1.5       Administration:
 Ensure all reports (Company, Client’s, etc.) are completed in a timely manner, are accurate and legible (in particular Drilling Reports).
 Confirm that hand-over logs have relevant information for the safe and efficient running of the drilling operations. Each handover starts with Safety related items.
 Review procedures on a regular basis and make recommendations to amend as required.
 
 1.6       Meetings:
 Attends the pre shift meetings.
Tool Box Talks.
 Relevant onshore Client and Company Meetings.
 Safety meetings.
 
 1.7       Skills:
 A minimum of 2 years North Sea Offshore Driller experience with a proven track record in the Drilling Industry.
 Cyber rig experience.
 Ability to combine executing and organizing skills.
 Good communicative qualities with multi cultural crews.
 Good oral and written English language skills.
 Open to change and opinions of others, however if needed tenacious to taken decisions and ethical principles.
 Ability to empathize.
 Positive mind setting.
 Shows leadership by setting the correct example.
 EU passport holder.
