Contract 4 on/2 off
Salary USD 6025 per month.
1 Statutory Safety Officer Completion of Quarterly Safety Rounds, Hazardous Occurrence Reporting (including investigation, analysis and evaluation), where appropriate, making recommendations to prevent recurrence and monitoring that any recommendations are acted upon
2 Safety Training Implementation and conduct of safety training following the procedures and instructions established in Company manuals including the Muster List/Bill
3 Safety Maintenance Implementation of the Planned Maintenance System and the effective repair and maintenance of all fire fighting equipment and life saving appliances and other safety equipment; Advising the Master re any defects or malfunctions of safety related equipment
4 Lifting Equipment Monitoring the condition, inspection and maintenance of the ship’s lifting equipment including LSA, FFA, cargo gear, strops, wires, chain blocks etc
5 Log Books and Shipping Legislation Keeping the Ship’s Official Log Book, requiring a thorough working knowledge of the applicable Flag State legislation and requirements (including disciplinary cases, crew accidents and illnesses); Monitoring of International, Flag & Port State legislation and requirements and appraising the Master accordingly
6 Company Procedures and Instructions Monitoring the practical application of the Company's policy, procedures and instructions, reporting to the Master any instances where the ship is unable to or fails to comply
7 Bridge Watchkeeping Keeping bridge watches as required and identified by the Master; completion of rounds at the end of each watch, including those areas that are necessary for ensuring the safety, security and good order of the vessel, her crew and passengers
8 Mooring Stations Attending mooring stations as instructed; Supervising crew assigned to mooring stations and ensuring that mooring operations are conducted in accordance with the advice in the Code of Safe Working Practice
9 Permit To Work System Operation of the permit to work system
