Our respective client in Canada is seeking for a 2nd Engineers to join one of the Dry Bulk vessels amongst largest fleet on the Great Lakes. Non-Canadian candidates will be able to join under specific conditions to live and work in Canada only. The company has modern and well equipped fleet, best working conditions and competitive wages including wide benefits package. This position is compliant with Canadian Union regulations. All wages and benefits will be paid as per Union agreement.
Qualifications:1st or 2nd Class Motor Engineer Certificate
MED training with respect to STCW Basic Safety
MED training with respect to proficiency in survival craft and rescue boats other than fast rescue boats
MED in advanced fire fighting
Marine Medical
Personnel with Security Duties
Skills, Abilities and Experience:Minimum 2 years’ recent experience working on dry bulk vessel type as self-unloader or gearless carrier
Experience with Safety Management Systems
Excellent leadership skills
Excel in analyzing and adjusting work procedures for maximum efficiency
Knowledge of English language is required
Conditions:Terms of Employment: Permanent Full-Time
Wage range: $589.91 (CAD) GROSS / 410 CAD NET per day worked on gearless bulk carrier
Wage range: $603.08 (CAD) GROSS / 420 CAD NET per day worked on self-unloader bulk carrier
Work rotation: 60 days on / 30 days off
Joining: August 2019
Preferably Canadian citizens.
Special Condition: Non Canadian applicants will join immigration program to Canada
with obligation to work and live in country for at least 1 year.
