We acquire process, interpret and report data of the seabed, the soils and the rocks beneath with the purpose of detecting potential geohazards, which may affect marine operations and engineering.
Roles and Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the preparation set-up testing and maintenance of the Cone Penetration Testing CPT tools and equipment used to acquire geotechnical data offshore. You will need to have electro-mechanical knowledge as well as confidence using IT systems and computer software. These skills and experience will help you with the acquisition and initial processing of high quality geotechnical data to support the Geotechnical Engineers. You will also assist them with the collation of relevant paperwork and reports.
You will be involved at all stages from mobilizations to operation and recovery working closely with the Offshore Project Manager and Geotechnical Engineers to ensure that the correct equipment is prepared and that it is moved stored and operated safely to all HSE procedures and guidelines. This will also include making the HSE Advisor aware of any issues or concerns you have regarding equipment condition and usage.
Requirements
We are looking for an individual with technical and machinery maintenance experience. Technical college diploma. You will also be positive confident and keen to develop a reputation as a team player assisting both the geotechnical sampling and drilling teams as required offshore.
Assist the Geotechnical Engineers with the collation of relevant paperwork and reports.
Good English knowledge is essential
