Hi everybody
It's interesting to know your experience about fire arms on board.
Situation with piracy in different parts of world is bringing this issue up more and more every day.
I have heard about commercial security companies who provide armed security on board. How does it work? Are companies willing to pay for this service?
Does anybody knows if some shipping companies keep weapons on board permanently and if so how are they dealing with port authorities and insurance companies?
Please share your thoughts.

Не знаю, спокойно то может и спокойно. Но только до тех пор пока не столкнёшься сам с хамством и врачами уродами.

There are cretins all over the world. It's pity that in Estonia they are often using nationality as tool of their cretinism. Good thing is reaction of people about the case. Reading forums you can see that regardless of nationality most of people doesn't tolerate this kind of behavior.

Bad boy. NEVER fight with master. If you dont like the master then just leave the ship. Very bad things will happen if somebody will fight with master - for all of crew and at the enf for the vessel. Maybe some day you will understand.

Good crewing company makes for all officers UK endorsement without any problems and for free. Masters have to pass examinations, so called UK LAP - UK legal and administrative procedures. It is not about professional skills but mostly about special requirements under UK flag.

99 % of Estonian seafarers wish to work outside of country. I dont see that it is big deal. Important matter is that most of us want to have HOME in Estonia. According my opinion is Estonia best country to live.
