Tension Machine Operator

Vessel : Pipe lay 8 point mooring barge.
Joining: mid of January 2012.
Location: Persian Gulf.
Duration : 12 week's.
Wages: attractive day rate netto depending on experience.

Job Title :     Tension Machine Operator
Job Tasks :
Ensure tension on pipelay activities in close communication with the DP-Operator and the Barge Foreman
During port calls and projects where a tension Operator is not needed the Tension Operator will perform Mechanical duties on the Tensioners.
Additional task for Tensioner operator appointed by the Deck Engineer:
Ensure the Superintendent is informed immediately of any condition or incident that arises.
Ensure that no major action will be undertaken or executed without informing the Superintendent or, where applicable, the Master.
Co-ordinate with Mates/DPO’s on duty
Make sure relevant checks are performed and documented.
Ensure together with the DP operator that the tensioner parameter settings are maintained as instructed by the Superintendent.
Make sure all settings and relevant information is communicated to all parties involved.
Report all alarms, malfunctions to Superintendent and mechanical and nautical department
Keep communication with relevant departments
Execute jobs and routine checks as directed by Shift-leader and Deck Engineer.

Qualifications :
Mediate Mechanical education
Preferable experience in the construction

Job Title :     Superintendent
Job Objective(s) :
Overall management and supervision of project related construction activities.
To enforce Company rules, statutory rules and local requirements regarding all construction activities, construction personnel and sub-contractors.
Job Task(s) :
Ensure all construction activities are properly controlled, supervised and executed.
Responsible for the activities of the Field Engineers.
Issue non-conformances, site queries - concession request to client.
Responsible for disciplinary matters relating to construction personnel.
Terminate the construction operations for safety or other reasons.
Liaise with the client’s representative on contractual and operational matters.
Authorise requisitions for all construction related materials.
Maintain day-to-day communication with Welder foreman and barge foreman.
Qualifications :
Completion of external safety/trade training .
Extensive experience as Superintendent/ Barge foreman or as master on Pipelayvessel
Full knowledge on pipelay procedures and management procedures.
Management skills

Job Title :     Tower Operator
Job Tasks :
Responsible for operating winch drums.
Communication to keep the anchor foreman informed of anchor positions, length of anchor wire out, positions of existing pipelines or structures
Monitoring the radio for traffic of other vessels that are operating in the same fields.

Qualifications :
Minimum five year experience
Candidates must have knowledge of anchors, computer survey screens and survey maps to keep the vessel on the proper heading and in the right of way or next to the structure.
Completion of safety/trade training .
Fluent English (verbal and written)

Job Title :     Barge Foreman
Responsibilities :
To ensure that all works are carried out in a safe manner with regards to his personnel.
To ensure that all works will not pose any danger to the environment.
To ensure that all works will not result in equipment damage.
Responsibilities to Personnel:
To ensure that his personnel are properly trained in the tasks appointed to them.
To ensure that his personnel are aware of the hazards of their appointed work place.
To ensure that his personnel are aware of the hazardous areas (no entry) aboard the vessel.
To ensure that the proper PPE is worn at all times where applicable.
To ensure that his personnel are aware of all safety and emergency procedures aboard the vessel.
Job Tasks :
Oversee trade foremen.
Co-ordinate construction activities throughout the vessel.
Ensure the Superintendent is kept fully informed of potential problems and construction status.
Liaise with the Field Engineer on all project related operations.
Assist the Superintendent in pre-contract equipment and plant preparations.
Assume the duties of Superintendent in the event of the Superintendent being incapacitated.
Stop construction activities if required on safety grounds, or on technical grounds if to continue could cause damage to plant or pipeline.
Qualifications :

Must speak fluent English
Minimum five years’ experience as Barge Foreman on mayor offshore pipelay vessel
Completion of external safety/trade training.

2x Anchor Foreman

Vessel : Pipe lay barge 8 point mooring.
Location: Persian Gulf.
Duration: 12 week's.
Joining: mid January 2012.
Wages: attractive day rate netto.

EU candidates preferably

Job Tasks :
Responsible for preparing anchors, buoys, pennant wires and damage prevention buoys during barge mobilization.
Responsible for checking the barge mooring system i.e. anchor winches and anchor wires and report findings to the Barge Foreman.
In charge of the tower operation, running anchors and the movement of the barge on its anchors.
Responsible for planning and plotting anchor positions in accordance with the approved anchor pattern or without it when anchor pattern is not available.
Assisting Barge Foreman in setting up the barge on work location.
Make a frequent check on anchor buoys and pennant wires and position of anchors when barge is operational.
Assist the Barge Foreman with the deck activities whenever there is no anchor running activities.
Qualifications :
Should have minimum 5 years experience as Anchor Operator with Offshore Barges.

Must have experience working in offshore construction.
Completion of safety/trade training.
Fluent English (verbal and written)
