Engine Department Personnel on Passenger Vessels

1) 1ST ENGINEERS
Requirements:
• Bachelor or Master degree or Polytechnic degree of technical ship’s
operation or similar
• Certificate of Competency :
Chief Engineer Off. on ships of 3000 KW or more (III/2)
• Cruise experience preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience in similar rank with leadership experience on big vessels
• Minimum 18 months of sea service as technical watch officer, thereof at
least 6 months in a management level position (2nd Engineer or higher)
for 1st Engineers
• Fluency in English
2) 2ND ENGINEERS
Requirements:
• Bachelor or Master degree or Polytechnic degree of technical ship’s
operation or similar
• Certificate of Competency :
Chief Engineer Off. on ships of 3000 KW or more (III/2)
• Minimum 6 months of sea service as technical watch officer for 2nd
Engineers
• Several contracts in same position mandatory
• Fluency in English
3) MARINE ELECTRONIC OFFICERS
Responsibilities:
You will be in charge for safe operation, maintenance and repair of all electronic nautical, communication and IT equipment. For example:
• technical and nautical systems on the bridge (GMDSS, radar, ARPA)
• electronic safety and security systems as well as fire detection systems
• electronic office equipment, printing and publishing equipment
• IT server and client systems and equipment including the network and
infrastructure
Requirements:
• Bachelor, Master or degreed engineer of electrical engineering or
telecommunications or equivalent
• Certificate of Competency
• Experience in a marine / naval job environment
• Experience and substantial knowledge in electronics, radio-,
telecommunication and IT systems
• Your knowledge of English is very good and well versed
