Isabel dos Santos is an Angolan investor considered by Forbes to be the richest woman not only in Angola, but the whole of Africa. Daughter of Angolan President Jose Eduardo dos Santos. She was born in Baku, Azerbaijan to a Russian mother Tatiana Kukanova.

A little background. Isabel dos Santos is the 40 year old daughter of Angolan President Jose Eduardo dos Santos. She was born in Baku, Azerbaijan to a Russian-born mother (Tatiana Kukanova) while her father was there on a study abroad program. She has a Bachelor’s degree in engineering from King’s College (London) where she met her future husband, Sindika Dokolo, who is from the Democratic Republic of Congo. They married in Luanda, Angola in 2002 during a ceremony which clearly foreshadowed some of the obscene riches in her future. They have 3 children. This is where the acknowledgement of her humanness ends when discussing Isabel dos Santos.
The more compelling story is about Angola. This oil and diamond-rich (blood diamonds) former Portuguese colony in southern Africa acquired independence in 1975. At that juncture, a 27 year long civil war began, which killed hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians, decimated the economy and launched a brutal, corrupt, and inbred kleptocracy headed by Isabel dos Santos father, Jose Eduardo who has been Angola’s President for 35 years. Despite the fact that Angola is the 2nd biggest producer and exporter of crude oil, receiving BILLIONS of dollars in annual revenue for it’s oil, gas, uranium, diamonds, etc., Angola has the highest infant mortality rate (under 5 years old) in the world, with 1 in 6 children dying before their 5th birthday. Two-thirds of the country is starving, well below the poverty line, barely surviving on less than $2 a day. In just one year (2012) for example, the International Monetary Fund found that $4.2 billion dollars linked to the state owned oil company, Sonangol had simply vanished. That amount, by the way, far surpasses the entire annual public health budget.
Where did it go? Where does it go, is the more appropriate question.
In 2013, Forbes magazine “outed” Isabel dos Santos as the richest woman in Africa during a damning investigation (and, as any corrupt African dictator and his family would then do, they tried to buy up all the different ways such information might reach Angola). In fact, she was the only female billionaire in Africa and the youngest billionaire in Africa. And Forbes didn’t pull any punches, flatly saying that her wealth is from oil, the communication industry, natural resource extraction, etc. funds diverted to her by her father. So blatant, so rampant and so easy to figure out, right? It almost seems cliche?, like a TV commercial with a starving, emaciated toddler staring up at us from the dust.
And yet, this cold hearted bitch continues to plunder, along with her worthless, low-life clan of common thieves, every bit of Angola’s wealth which SHOULD BE going towards lifting the population out of abject misery.

По словам Марии (а это надёжный источник, ей можно доверять), Жозе Сантуш всю жизнь был жутким бабником. И не понятно, успокоился сейчас или все также продолжает свои похождения.
И-таки да, в 21 год он уехал учиться в Бакинский институт нефти и газа, через шесть лет вернулся домой с дипломом инжерера-нефтяника и русской женой Татьяной Кукановой. Вы мне уже об этом рассказывали вот здесь Но у меня теперь есть новые подробности!
Мария говорит, что Жозе оказывается на Татьяне никогда женат и не был. Что одна-единственная жена у него это нынешняя супруга Ана Паула душ Сантуш. А с Татьяной было так: он увёз её из солнечного Баку в ещё более солнечную Анголу. В 1973 году она родила ему его первого ребёнка - дочку Изабель, но вскоре Татьяна бросила Жозе, потому что не смогла терпеть его многочисленных измен.
Несмотря на то, что уже много лет Татьяна не живёт с Жозе, из Анголы она не уехала. У неё здесь есть большой дом в центре города. Она активно занимается воспитанием своих внуков, детей Изабель. Выписывает им из России заслуженных учителей, которые в Анголе выполняют роль нянечек. Говорят также, что большая часть прислуги в её доме и доме её дочери - русские. А ещё говорят, что дом работницы у них получают по пять тысяч долларов в месяц.
Ангольцы Татьяну любят и гордятся таким своим советским прошлым. Мария сказала, что Татьяна не прям уж красавица, но зато очень добрая. Всегда здоровается с людьми и вообще ведёт себя очень достойно.
А вот Изабель, по словам массажистки, не такая милая, как её мама. Ходит задрав нос, с людьми разговаривает пренебрежительно, ни с кем не здоровается. Изабель в настоящее время является самой богатой женщиной в Анголе. Ей принадлежит самый крупный ангольский мобильный оператор, ну и по мелочи: вские прочие газеты и пароходы.
После ухода Татьяны Жозе горевал недолго и быстренько сошёлся с одной достойной ангольской дамой, имя которой в памяти Марии не задержалось. Примечательна она тем, что родила Жозе ещё троих детей и теперь занимает какую-то хорошую должность в правительстве.
Суть да дело, на дворе 1979 год, нашему Жозе 37 лет, пора бы уже и президентом стать. Президенту в Анголе неженатому быть не гоже. А у Жозе к том времени было уже 8 признанных детей и ни одной жены! Не хорошо. Надо исправлять положение.
И вот однажды, летит такой Жозе в самолёте. Мимо проходит и виляет бёдрами прекрасная стюардесса Ана Паула. Еду разносит. Она ему поднос с едой, а он ей записку. Мол, давай встретимся и цетера. Повстречались, то-сё, давай жениться. А Ана Паула его почти на 20 лет младше, практически ровесница дочери его. Вся такая в шоке. Семья тоже в шоке - зачем муж нужен такой старый? Но вот в это я не верю, не верю в то что семья сопротивлялась бы замужеству с без пяти минут Президентом. Ну да это не важно. Важен результат. Ана Паула стала душ Сантуш, родила ему ещё троих детей и является сейчас первой леди Анголы.
Дети и внуки президента одновременно ходят в одну школу. Во французский лицей. С охраной и эскортом. Так что дети наших экспатов одноклассники с президентскими отпрысками.
Ангольцы не очень понимают, почему Жозе решил учить потомков именно во французском лицее, им кажется это странным и неправильным.
Все говорят, что детки и внуки у Жозе очень воспитанные, хорошо учатся и вообще ангельские создания.
Вот такие вот подробности личной жизни нашего президента. В сентябре этого года у нас тут будут выборы. Мария сказала, что если Жозе выдвинет свою кандидатуру, то ангольцы за него голосовать будут.
- Он, конечно, вор. Но зато не убийца. Он хороший человек. Добрый. Много ворует, но много и для страны делает. За это народ его и любит. Тем более, он уже очень много наворовал, вся семья у него уже богатая. А если новый президент прийдёт - то опять же воровать начнёт. А этому, вроде, уже больше и не надо.

Angola’s Sonangol investigates misconduct by Isabel dos Santos
The company’s former CEO, Dos Santos is the daughter of the country’s former president; the new president is promising to crack down on corruption.
Angola’s state oil company has announced an investigation into "possible misappropriation" of funds by Isabel dos Santos, the daughter of the former president, during her time as the company’s CEO.
In recent weeks, several Angolan media outfits have accused her of ordering suspect transfers and payments worth tens of millions of dollars.
She was appointed head of Sonangol by her father Jos? Eduardo dos Santos in 2016, who was replaced last month by Angola’s new president Jo?o Louren?o. Isabel has flatly denied any misconduct.
"We have established an internal commission of inquiry to investigate the information published," Sonangol spokesperson Mateus Benza said on Tuesday. "We are verifying possible misappropriation, but I can’t yet confirm anything."
According to the Novo Jornal and the Jornal Economico, the new leadership at Sonangol had identified a suspect transfer of €57m ($67m) to Dubai.
Investigators are also probing a monthly payment that began when Isabel became the head of the state oil giant of ¤10m to a Portuguese company in which she was the principal investor.
It was reported that the new head of Sonangol has written to his predecessor to demand explanations as well as alerting law-enforcement agencies. Prosecutors in the capital Luanda told AFP on Tuesday evening that they had not received a formal complaint.
Isabel has hit back alleging a "campaign of defamation". "This fake news ... doesn’t deserve any credibility since their only goal is to cast doubt on the integrity of Isabel dos Santos," she said in a tweet.
She is reported by Forbes to be the richest woman in Africa and became a symbol of nepotism under the protection of her father. Jos? Eduardo stepped down as president following elections in August after 38 years in power defined by the transfer of wealth to those close to the regime.
His successor has promised to fight against corruption and recently dismissed several leaders of state-run companies who were seen as close to the former president.

An Angolan court has ordered the seizure of the assets and bank accounts of the billionaire daughter of ex-President Jose Eduardo dos Santos.
The seizure appears to be part of an anti-corruption drive by the current government in oil-rich Angola.
The administration of President Joao Louren?o is seeking to recover $1bn it says it is owed by Isabel dos Santos and her associates.
She has repeatedly denied wrongdoing during her father's term in office.
Often described as Africa's richest woman, Ms Dos Santos is estimated by Forbes magazine to have a fortune of $2.2bn.
The 46-year-old lives abroad, saying she moved from Angola because her life had been threatened.
She runs a huge business empire with stakes in companies in Angola and Portugal, where she has shares in cable television firm Nos SGPS.
The court ordered the freezing of Ms Dos Santos' Angolan bank accounts and the seizure of her stake in local companies, including telecoms giant Unitel and bank Fomento de Angola (BFA), the state-owned news agency reported.
In a statement, she said she condemned what she described as a "politically motivated attack" against her.
